Tip #1: Integrate Prompt Messages into Your Posts

As often as your community will allow it – tell them to check out your website, blog or other social media pages. Many businesses forget that asking nicely often gets some great results from each platform.

Tip #2: Hang Out With Your Target Demographic

Find out which social media platforms your target demographic likes to spend time on, and become a community member. Add comments, posts and insightful content – and you’ll get their attention.

Tip #3: Promote Other Peoples Excellent Content

Social media is about sharing, so stop posting messages that are all about your business, and do some free PR for other companies in your field. They’ll notice, and give your business free PR in return.

Tip #4: Monitor Conversations For Business Opportunities

Collect some base keywords for your product or service and monitor conversations about it on Twitter – even Facebook. If someone is looking for something you sell, suggest your product to them as a helpful hint!
