Hi, this is Gil Valzania and I’m a marketing intern here at Social Media Marketing University.

Welcome to Blogging for Business Week.

Some of you may ask,”Why should I start a blog for my business?”

Well, a blog is a simple, easy to use platform for connecting with others, and sharing timely and relevant information with customers. This is your direct communication channel. Your blog is the heart of all your content marketing efforts.

It’s sustenance for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Email Newsletters, eBooks, etc. Plus, your blog fuels SEO. Search engines love valuable content and will reward you for it.

This week we picked out two great articles to help you get started blogging the right way, or if you are already blogging to greatly enhance your efforts

For you bloggers, we first compiled a list of ten razor-sharp blogging for business tips in 2014 which will show you how to leverage the power of crowdsourced blogging and much more.

Secondly, we will discuss fifteen no-nonsense blogging tips for making money in 2014, which will teach you how to implement SMS as geofencing and AdSense to gain a competitive advantage and leverage quantifiable results.

Please enjoy this week’s articles and leave a comment to share your thoughts.

On behalf of SMMU, we wish you a wonderful holiday season.
