How to Interact with Customers on Your Business Facebook Page

By on February 2, 2018

When you’re developing a social media strategy, you’re focused on too many things at once. First of all, you’re researching the market and your target audience. Then, you start creating content that will meet the needs of that audience and bring you more conversions. Yes; those are crucial elements of your social media strategy. However, there’s one particular thing that most business owners are forgetting: interaction with customers.

Why are people following your Facebook page? They don’t do it just because they want your updates in their feeds. They want to get information, which helps them make better purchasing decisions.

In order to use your Facebook page to its full potential, you must rely on the right strategies that connect you with customers. Let’s check out some of those strategies.

  1. Facebook Messenger Is a Powerful Communication Tool; Use It Well!

Facebook users like sending private messages to business pages. It’s a nice way to get a direct, personalized answer that they won’t miss.

Whenever someone sends you a message, respond as quickly as possible. If you’re highly responsive, Facebook will award the “Very responsive to messages” badge to your business page. That increases the reliability and professionalism of your brand in the eyes of the audience.

There’s another way to use Facebook Messenger: you can be the one who initiates the private conversation. You can send direct messages to people who commented on your Facebook page. If you want to give someone a special discount code because they gave you a nice comment, you can easily do that. Just send them a message.

  1. Engage the Audience with Status Updates

So you know that you have to respond when someone asks something on your Facebook page. Does this mean you should just wait around for people to start asking questions? No. You must engage them!

Since your biggest goal is to improve the interaction with your target audience, you must initiate that interaction. In other words, you should humanize your brand, so people will like to interact with it. You can do that by asking for comments, posting funny updates, making suggestions on how people can improve their experience with your products, and direct requirements for feedback.

  1. Rely on Facebook’s Advertising System

Facebook ads are extremely focused and effective when you do things right. In fact, it’s not that hard to do things right: you just create a brilliant ad and you choose proper targeting options before making it public. The retargeting option makes Facebook business advertising even more effective. With this, you can target users who’ve interacted with your ads before. You know they are interested, so why not remind them about the coolness of your brand again?

With the retargeting option, you already know the user’s behavior on your website. This means that you can show them a personalized ad. You increase the chances of a conversion that way!

  1. Be Active in the Comments Section

You won’t be wasting your time if you pay attention to people’s comments and requests. In fact, you’ll be gaining a lot in return if you do your best to reply to everyone who needs your answers and advice.

Remember this once and for all: you’re on Facebook because you want to bring your brand closer to the audience. You’ll do that only if you step in and show people that you’re available for them. Whenever you can do something to improve people’s experience with your products or services, comment on their comments. Give them tips. Answer their questions. Or just say thank you for a nice comment.

  1. Engage Them with Contests

Social media contests are great for creating engagement. No matter what your niche is, you can always think of a contest that would engage your audience. Needless to say, you’ll have to offer an attractive prize if you want this to work.

If, for example, you’re selling cat food, you can ask your followers to post funny photos of their cats. You’ll pick a random winner with a tool like Woobox, but you may also invite the contenders to attract as many likes as possible with their photos. They will do that by sharing and asking their friends to like your page, and then like their photo. The photo that attracts the most attention will win the prize. For this type of contest, the prize may be a yearly supply of cat food. You may even feature the winning pet in your future Facebook video ads.

  1. Share Awesome Content

This is probably the most important aspect of your Facebook marketing campaign: you have to share impressive content. It should be unique, engaging, and discussion-provoking. It should definitely be accompanied by great visual elements since the image is the first thing that catches a viewer’s attention on a shared link.

Great content will bring more traffic to your website. From there on, your job will be to bring the visitors to action.

Facebook is the biggest and most powerful social media platform. It’s not going anywhere. In fact, it’s getting bigger by the day. For a business owner, Facebook pages are an essential marketing tool that will bring more conversions. Hopefully, the tips we presented above will help you start interacting with your audience in a more effective way.
