Hey this is Darrien Carter here with SMMU and I wanted to talk to you about the topics of our newsletter this week.

First of which is Local Marketing for the holiday season. These articles talk about how brick and mortar stores can attract more customers, using tips like creating Christmas discounts and using the power of viral Facebook ads.

The second article is mistakes with local marketing that can actually end up hurting you more than helping you. So some of these include a lack of follow-through, relying too much on word-of-mouth and a generally disjointed approach to marketing for the holiday season.
